About this site
This site exposes my passion for the ColecoVision console made by Coleco Industries Inc.
Because I grew up with this console, I wanted to make my own video games when I was young. During years, I've developed my programming skills by myself with Commodore computers. In 1996, a new game cartridge for the ColecoVision appears. During this period, I've developed tools and programmed my first ColecoVision projects. Since then, I've cumulated a lot of informations and years of coding tools and games. I'm proud to share my hard work and passion with fans.
The ColecoVision game system still amaze me and that's why I have been programming games for it since 1999.

BREAKOUT

In 1998, I had all the tools to make my first ColecoVision game from scratch. However, it took me months to have the courage to program and publish my first game. I've decided to make something pretty easy, based on my first coded games on Commodore computers when I was young. In the Commodore VIC-20 computer user's manual, there is a code for a bouncing round shape and it inspired me to make my first Breakout games back then. The ColecoVision version has me feeling nostalgic about my childhood.
DACMAN
DOWNLOAD DACMAN
During summer 2000, I was thinking of doing another game based on my childhood memories. In the 80s, Canadian Tire did a games compilation for the Commodore VIC-20 computer and one of the games was a primitive PACMAN clone. My adaptation for the ColecoVision is nicer and faster but still the same game idea.
BUSTIN-OUT
DOWNLOAD BUSTIN-OUT #0
After discussing with Sylvain de Chantal, he asked me if it's possible to do an erotic game for the ColecoVision. I've replied yes, but only if he takes care of the pictures, and this is the result.
MISS SPACE FURY
DOWNLOAD MISS SPACE FURY
Digital Press has asked me to do a special ColecoVision game for their 10th anniversary and I've accepted. After a discussion with Sylvain de Chantal and Joe Santulli, we agreed on the game concept and started the project. Sylvain de Chantal worked on the graphics while I was working on the development tools, sounds and the game itself. It was a great success.
BEJEWELED
DOWNLOAD BEJEWELED
January 2002, at university, a friend wanted to show me an online game he likes and dare me to make one for the ColecoVision. Accepting the challenge, I've coded a first version in no time. However, studies first, I had to do my homework and forget about this game, until Mathieu Proulx asked to work on a videogame project with me so I suggested him to complete this one, and this is the result.
GAMEPACK#1
DOWNLOAD GAMEPACK#1
With the objective to improve my development kit, I've started to optimize my toolkit library to be able to program even more in the cartridge memory size. After weeks of converting routines into assembly language, I've done this compilation of games, most of them are adaptations of simple games in BASIC from an old book for the Oric computer.
GAMEPACK#2

DOWNLOAD GAMEPACK#2 FINAL VERSION
After the first games compilation, I was thinking of making a second one. But, instead of games from an old book about games in BASIC, I decided to do board games with the challenge of doing artificial intelligence. There are 4 bonus games ( to unlock ) in asection you can access by pressing 0 at the menu screen.
REVERSI
DOWNLOAD REVERSI AND DIAMOND DASH
For several years, I tried to code the artificial intelligence of this game. At first it took about an hour per game at the highest difficulty level, then I was able to optimize the waiting time with assembly language. Tired of coding it, *I put* it on the ice until AtariAge asked to publish this game. For the occasion, I added the bonus game Diamond Dash.
