Hi there arcade VFD handhelds lovers!

I've made this database to know every arcade games converted to electronic VFD handhelds
(VFD stands for Vacuum Fluorescent Display) there is. The database is divided in three parts
(game screenshot, infos & handheld picture) with the arcade title and company. I have some
few VFD handhelds in my collection, especially all six released by Coleco which i find the
most georgious and some few others like Q*Bert and some Entex just to name a few.

The database is especially for showing off how the game looks like, too many times that we
see handhelds out there for sell and/or trade but rarely see what the game/playfield really
is. Also, by cataloging by screenshots, it is much easier to know if there is other handhelds
that plays the same game. Just an example: You want to get the Coleco Frogger and live in
Europe, if it's only the game you want, then you can get the Gakken Frogger or other companies
like CGL and Lansay. Or another example: how about which Space Invaders game looks the best ?
Or is there other handhelds that can play a similar game ? With the database, it's much easier.

Many pictures and screenshots comes from the "Handheld Museum" created/maintained by Rik.
Others also comes from various web sites like Handheld Empire, Melons80's Electronic Game
Station, LSI Handheld Japan Games, Ebay sellers, ect...If there's some error(s) in the
database, please let me know so i can correct it/them. Happy browsing! :)

Now this one would have been so awesome if it were made back then.
This simulator was done by Adam Nightingale for the Retro Remakes

I wonder who at Coleco decided to scrap this one and hopes he had

The Color LCD version is fun to play but it's not really the arcade

  arcade. It's better than nothing...
